Welcome to math.ultimate.hu. Here You can find lots of mathematical stuff, informations for my students at Budaiközépiskola (was: Táncsics Mihály Gimnázium).
From September 2005. I am teaching in a secondary school in Budapest (Budaiközépiskola). This school is a special one, because maths is tought in English. This is a great idea, but:
- all the students have to do the final exam, which exercises are the same as the Hungarian one's
- there isn't any course books in English, which follow the Hungarian national curiculum
- not all of these students are going to a university, where they going to study in English, so they need to learn the definitions, theorems in Hungarian too
All right, so I decided to write down (almost) everything, what I teach my students. If I have enough time and energy, then it's going to be a good repository for all, who are learning maths in English and have to do a final exam the Hungarian way.
